Things you need to know about our class
What requirements do I need to meet to get in the program?
At the time of application, you MUST:
- Be 18 years old AND A High School Graduate
- Must have health insurance
- Meet vaccine requirements (listed below)
Applicants must also be able to pass a background check, urine drug screen, and meet vaccine requirements to be eligible for clinical rotations. The background check and urine drug screen will be done once class starts.
Fee Breakdown:
Course fees are comprised of the following:
- Registration Fee: $375
- This fee is non-refundable for anyone who enrolls in the course.
- Materials Fee: $450
- This fee covers materials provided to the student by MCHD. After the first scheduled day of the course this fee is non-refundable
- Course Tuition: $825
- This fee is the cost of tuition. Any student who drops the course before the 15th calendar day of the scheduled class start may be eligible for a refund of the course tuition portion only.
Payment plans are offered through our payment vendor via Afterpay or Klarma. These agreements are between the student and the vendor and not MCHD. Payment is due 7 days before class begins
Admission Requirements
Vaccine Requirements:
- Hepatitis B (3 shot series) or Positive Titer
- MMR or Positive Titer
- Tdap vaccine (within the last 10 years)
- Varicella or Positive Titer
- Negative TB Test (PPD Skin Test, or TB Gold)
- 2026-2027 Flu Vaccine (required after course starts)
- Students are allowed to exempt vaccines. To exempt vaccines fill out the form below. This is subject to approval by the clinical affiliates and could limit the students participation.

A little bit about our EMT program:
Course Length: 21 Weeks
You will complete clinical rotations on the ambulance and in the hospital (you choose the dates based on what is available) Its 12 hours in the hospital and 48 hours on the ambulance.
How difficult is the course? It is about as difficult as an entry level college course
It does require reading and studying outside of class (10-15 hours per week)
Course Information:
- When is class? Monday and Wednesday 6pm-10pm (there are a few Tuesday and Saturday classes)
- Location: MCHD Administration 1400 S. Loop 336 W Conroe Tx 77305
- What else do I need to participate? You will need a laptop or tablet to access course content. You cannot complete the course using only a phone.
Note: All participants must be clean shaven other than a mustache that does not extend below the corners of the mouth. This is an MCHD policy related to safety and will be observed throughout the program.
