Public Education and Outreach

Donate Life

Donate Life LogoTexans can register to be organ, tissue and eye donors online by visiting www.DonateLifeTexas.org or when they renew their driver license or personal identification card.

The Glenda Dawson Donate Life - Texas Registry is the state program that is responsible for managing the donor registry and state-funded donor education projects.

The program is funded by a $1 voluntary contribution that Texans can make when renewing their driver license or identification card, or when registering their motor vehicle.

In 2007, the Donor Education, Awareness, and Registry program was renamed the Glenda Dawson Donate Life - Texas Registry by the Texas legislature in memory of Representative Dawson's contributions to organ donation in the State of Texas.
