The Office of The Medical Director
Accepting Applications for the Office of the Medical Director
The Montgomery County Hospital District EMS Office of the Medical Director is accepting applications for multiple positions. This new office has been created to help enhance our already excellent system by assisting our Medical Director - Jay Lance Kovar, MD, FACEP in the medical oversight of MCHD EMS
This new office will work to develop a clinical practice model that is forward looking and is designed to leverage best practices and current research to support an emerging and adapting standard of care. Staff will be focused on proactively preparing those who serve patients. They will help to integrate with the local medical community seamlessly and deeply from the time of call to hospital discharge. We will not only rely on current state of the science, but plan to be a strong participant in pre-hospital research.
The nation’s health care delivery model is changing. New concepts in care management that have been developing in the past few years have gained traction with health care reform. In the years to come, our industry will change to accommodate the new and emerging realities. Our new vision for clinical practice management at MCHD will thrive and lead this new reality within our industry.
Health systems of the future will be very data driven. Organizations will be reimbursed and/or penalized based on their performance on clinical parameters that provide value (better outcomes) for patients. Our approach will be designed to deliver outstanding, accountable care.
