Transparency in Government
In March 2005, the Montgomery County Hospital District began posting audio from all meetings of the Board of Directors, including meetings of Board committees. The Board's intention was to make proceedings of the Board available to those unable to attend meetings.
In November 2006, MCHD began publishing its monthly Board book on the internet. The primary goal was to increase the transparency of government. The action also had a positive impact on the environment and the District budget by dramatically reducing printing costs.
On May 26, 2009, the MCHD Board of Directors approved an initiative to enhance transparency by publishing the District's check register on the internet. The Board authorized the staff to go back to October 2008 and continue into the future.

Monthly Check Register - General Fund
This register includes activity through the District's general fund.
Monthly Check Register - Indigent Care
This register includes payments to healthcare providers for services provided through the District's indigent care program. It does not include the value of services provided voluntarily by Conroe Regional Medical Center and its affiliated providers. A sample for April 2009 has been posted.
