EMS Mass Response Planning
We have recently added an Emergency Management Team to our staff under the Regional Catastrophic Preparedness Grant program. The purpose of this one-year, grant funded team is to integrate planning activities for medical response to a large, no notice mass casualty incident(s) in Montgomery County, and to develop an immediate response mutual aid contingency plan to support other jurisdictions in the 13 county HCAC region. This team will also coordinate local planning and response capabilities with the Houston Fire Department, the Regional Hospital Preparedness Council, the Southeast Texas Regional Advisory Council's EMS Disaster Committee, and other jurisdictions in the HGAC region with the goal of an integrated EMS Mass Mutual Aid plan.
