Radio Systems

MCHD operates the County's 800 MHZ trunked radio system.   Constructed in 1996, it is a four site, M/A-Com EDACS simulcast system.   The system is owned through an interlocal agreement between MCHD, Montgomery County, and the City of Conroe.  

Over 2000 users from across the public safety and public works community currently use the system for routine and emergency communications.

In addition, MCHD operates a full service radio repair and installation shop.   We offer these services to all 800 system users as well as private customers and public entities across the Greater Houston area.   If you wish MCHD to bid on a project, please contact the Radio Shop at radio@mchd-tx.org or 936-521-3500.
