Materials Management (formerly known as Logistics)
In order to meet developing needs, the former Logistics Department was reorganized, refocused, and re designated as "Materials Management" in 2010.

The "new" Materials Management team is moving away from the older concept of purchasing equipment and supplies only for MCHD - EMS and is now becoming the "one-stop-shop" for all operational purchases made by the District.
With the move into the new Service Center in July 2011, Materials Management will have improved capabilities that will enhance its ability to service its internal customers more efficiently and cost-effectively. Among those new capabilities are:
- a two-bay loading dock
- a large bulk-storage room
- a smaller (but still large) room for "packaging" supplies that will be loaded onto ambulances, etc.
- direct access to bays for re supplying ambulances and other rolling stock
- secure outdoor facilities for making oxygen and backboards readily available during off hours
- storage of sufficient size to maintain emergency and disaster equipment and supplies
- a Quartermaster room where vendors can store a variety of uniforms and personal equipment for use by District personnel.
- Make-Ready Technicians who wash and ready each unit in our fleet.
Materials Management staff are also responsible for maintaining appropriate levels of supplies and equipment at the ambulance stations and regional substations.
