Montgomery County Hospital District Emergency Medical Services focuses continuously on how to save lives.  When our crews have saved a life against the odds, we want to celebrate with the patient.  If the patient is interested, a “Save Reunion” is held to recall and reflect on the actions taken by many to save the life of an individual who has suffered from cardiac arrest, drowning, or severe trauma.  In addition to the patient, their family and friends, the MCHD dispatcher, fire department and hospital staff who were involved in responding to and participating in the event are invited to share their part of the story.  This often includes the family or friends’ story about what happened before the call was made to MCHD’s Dispatch Center.

On the rare occasion that MCHD gets to participate in the birth of a baby, we also host a “Stork Reunion” to reunite the crews with the bundle of joy and their family.
